It has been revealed this week that Barcelona president Joan Laporta has already met with Erling Haaland to discuss the striker’s future. Reports came out stating that there was a meeting in Munich and there is frustration at the Catalan club over the way this was leaked to the press.
Juli Guiu, the vice-president of the marketing department at the club, has spoken about this leak in a radio interview.
“There are some things that should be handled with discretion, but these kinds of things happen at this club,” he told RAC1.Barcelona don’t want anything to hamper their pursuit of Haaland, with the Norwegian a key transfer target for Laporta’s administration.
They believe that Haaland can help steer Barcelona back to the top and there is confidence that a good relationship with the player’s agent Mino Raiola can assist their efforts to sign the Norwegian from Borussia Dortmund.
