Sterling Skye Mahomes offered a soccer scholarship to play for her father’s alma mater.
daughter already received a national letter of intent, to receive a scholarship offer to the Texas Tech soccer program.
Now, the college has officially given her a scholarship offer for the recruiting class of 2039. They’re certainly expecting Sterling to follow in the footsteps of her mom and dad as an athlete, as all of this is coming before she’s even taken her first steps.
Texas Tech’s Twitter page for their Women’s soccer team tweeted out the offer on Wednesday evening.
Mahomes, of course, played football and baseball with the Red Raiders before declaring for the 2017 NFL draft and being selected by Kansas City. Matthews didn’t attend Texas Tech but she played collegiate soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler.
Should baby Sterling Skye go the way of her mother and father, deciding to be an athlete in college, she’ll certainly have an amazing opportunity awaiting her.
